Corona Update

Protect yourself and others

Dear guests!

The latest regulation (5. COVID-19-Notmaßnahmenverordnung) to protect against Covid-19 has been in force since November 22, 2021. According to the regulation, the lockdown in Austria will be in effect until December 13, 2021. Skiing is permitted during the lockdown.

These slopes and lifts are currently open:

The 2G rule* applies throughout Austria in ski areas. We are therefore obliged to check for valid 2G proof (vaccinated or recovered) for all guests from the age of 13. Access to the ski area is not possible without corresponding 2G proof. In addition, FFP2 masks are mandatory in all closed public areas, in the gondolas and on chairlifts with protective hoods.

For school children from Austria (up to the 9th grade), the Ninja Pass is equivalent to 2G proof and is also valid on the weekend following the respective test week.
There is a transition period until December 6th for guests who show proof of a first vaccination with a centrally approved Covid-19 vaccine as well as proof of a negative PCR test valid from the last 72 hours.

The 2G regulation also applies in all mountain restaurants with the above-mentioned exceptions for children and for those who have been vaccinated for the first time with a valid PCR test. (Note: Due to the lockdown, mountain gastronomy is expected to be closed until December 13th, 2021.)

The company Skidata is currently still working on a technical possibility of checking the 2G proof/activating lift passes and will provide information as updates occur. Until then, our employees will check this manually.

* 2G verification:

Recovered:
> Certificate of recovery, medical confirmation, or official quarantine notice (in English or German) valid for a maximum of 180 days after illness.

Vaccinated:
> Valid for 360 days from the day of the second vaccination (270 days from December 6th).
> The single vaccination (Johnson & Johnson) loses its validity on January 3, 2022. A second vaccination is then necessary for a valid vaccination certificate.
> In the case of proof of vaccination of recovered persons, the vaccination is valid for 360 days (from December 6th, 270 days).
> A 3rd dose is valid for a further 270 days from the day of vaccination.

The safety of our guests and employees is our top priority. In times like these, it is essential to interact responsibly with one another. This includes complying with official safety precautions as well as responsible behavior as individuals. With this in mind, we kindly ask you to comply with the distance regulations and to implement the necessary hygiene measures. Please also remember to enjoy the diversity and beauty of the mountains during your visit.

Legal Basis
In all closed public areas, face coverings are mandatory.

Due to the official requirements regarding the development of COVID, Bergbahn AG Kitzbühel has taken all of the necessary measures to protect the health of its guests. You will have more space, namely at the ticket offices and in the cable cars. Protective masks are available at the ticket offices at each gondola station to cover your nose and mouth. There are also many disinfectant dispensers available for you throughout the area.

PROTECT YOUR HEALTH
KitzSki is taking the following measures to protect your safety:
We have implemented all possible measures to counteract the spread of COVID and thus contributing to the protection of our guests and employees. The legal requirements are minimum requirements. In addition, we are constantly working on additional effective measures.

> Bergbahn AG Kitzbühel has had three employees trained to become COVID officers. We created a prevention and hygiene concept, which has been evaluated by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Günter Weiss, our external expert. The concept is continuously adapted to the latest regulations and developments. The COVID officers are also trained in dealing with suspected cases.

> Announcements and information (e.g., via large screens and displays as well as from our trained staff) regarding our current COVID guidelines can be found at all main lifts. In addition, we continuously provide you with information via loudspeaker announcements throughout the area.

> Public areas are regularly cleaned and disinfected.

> Legally set minimum distances are marked in entrance areas and where possible by floor markings and barriers.

> Sufficient hand sanitizer is available in public areas and soap is in all restrooms.

> None of our lifts run for more than 15 minutes.
Information: The risk of infection only arises when you stay in closed spaces for a longer period and when the minimum distance is less than two meters.

> Our gondolas are regularly ventilated and disinfected with a fogging device. This eliminates viruses, bacteria and spores and offers long-lasting protection in the cabins. The product is 100% biodegradable, skin and eye friendly and pH neutral.

> Employees who have contact with customers wear face coverings during working hours.

> In the instance of a suspected case, our employees can be tested immediately. We work with a local doctor in these situations.

> Bergbahn AG Kitzbühel recommends that guests and employees install the anonymous Stop Corona app from the Austrian federal government.
